Frequently Asked Questions
1. Why
is the wireless technology you use a good
solution for wireline redundancy?
A wireless PTP connection
offers path diversity between two locations
that have an existing wireline service. An
automatic failover could be configured on the
customer’s routers to allow the wireless link
to become active when the wireline connection
is down. A manual failover to the wireless
link could allow for maintenance on the
wireline with no service disruption.
2. How
fast can you deploy a licensed point-to-point
link?
The longest lead-time for
deploying the HiPer® product is the process
for acquiring roof access, which depends on
the building management and if the client
could help facilitate the process. The second
is the process of acquiring the FCC license
for the link, which could be as fast as 10
days from submittal of request.
3. How
reliable is the HiPer product?
Our HiPer® product family
operates in licensed frequencies in the United
States and is based on a very mature platform
that has been well tested and deployed in the
industry. Our engineering methodology targets
availability level of 99.999%.
4. How
could you solve the connectivity problem for
our industry?
