The Vertos^™ vertical markets’ product family is a keen niche for Stratos Wireless because it takes full advantage of our core competency of the design, implementation, and maintenance of wireless systems. We start the engagement process with the client by identifying the business needs and multipurpose solutions for addressing each issue. Stratos Wireless is built with a culture rooted in customer service and Vertos^® is a comprehensive product that allows us to deliver to our customer service brand and to provide a combination of wireless systems and technologies that we put our name behind in order to to solve the business needs of our clients.

One of the vertical markets that could largely benefit from our product is the heavy construction industry. Heavy construction operation in the field is usually categorized by a group of trailers that house the IT infrastructure for the project and a large number of engineers in the filed. These engineers require access to the IT services and application and will go in and out of the trailer many times during the day to get or input the information they need. Wireless systems in such a project could solve this issue and allow each engineer complete access from the field. We could also offer RFID for asset tracking of the many of the very expensive equipment that is used on the project. Also, many construction applications allow real-time project management from the field, which require PDAs and remote devices to connect back to the network. Vertos^® is the perfect solution for these opportunities.
